A growing technology-driven organisation is seeking a skilled Technical Systems Engineer to join their London-based team. This role is a blend of advanced IT support and CRM-focused project work, offering the opportunity to combine hands-on technical expertise with systems improvement and business process optimisation.
Role Overview
As a Technical Systems Engineer, you will provide 2nd/3rd line IT support across a wide range of technologies while also taking ownership of CRM-related projects. You will be responsible for managing integrations, building workflows, and delivering automation improvements that enhance business operations.
This position is ideal for someone with a strong IT background who also has proven experience delivering CRM solutions and systems projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as an escalation point for 2nd/3rd line support issues, resolving complex incidents quickly and effectively.
- Support and administer Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, and virtualisation technologies.
- Lead CRM-related projects, including implementations, upgrades, and system integrations.
- Build and maintain CRM workflows, automations, and reporting to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
- Document systems, processes, and project outcomes thoroughly.
- Work with vendors and third parties to manage and deliver system enhancements.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven background in 2nd/3rd line IT support within a professional environment.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, Office 365, Active Directory, Azure).
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs).
- Hands-on experience with virtualisation platforms (VMware or Hyper-V).
- Previous experience delivering CRM projects (Salesforce, Dynamics 365, or similar).
- Skilled in managing CRM integrations, workflow design, and automation.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
