Salary: £28,000 per annum (pro-rated)
Hours: 30 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
We are seeking a motivated IT Support Engineer to join an IT team within the educational sector.
You will work alongside our existing technician to provide reliable IT support and help maintain ICT systems. Our team is committed to excellent systems management and delivering outstanding customer service.
Role Overview
This is a hands-on role providing day-to-day IT support across a variety of devices and systems, including Windows servers, Microsoft 365 Cloud infrastructure, Windows and Apple Mac client machines, portable devices, and wired and wireless network equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide IT support to staff and students, resolving technical issues efficiently.
- Maintain and administer Windows servers, Microsoft 365, and network infrastructure.
- Support client devices including desktops, laptops, Mac devices, and mobile devices.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of IT hardware and software.
- Ensure IT systems are maintained, monitored, and running smoothly.
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver excellent user support and service.
- Help manage and maintain wired and wireless networks.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in an IT support role.
- Experience with Windows servers, Microsoft 365, Windows and Mac client devices.
- Knowledge of portable devices and network infrastructure (wired and wireless).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and a solution-focused approach.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and remain calm under pressure.
- Resilient, organised, and able to complete critical tasks while keeping the bigger picture in mind.
