Senior Account Manager - Birmingham | Hybrid | £35,000-£42,000 (DOE)
My client, a leading full-service marketing agency based in Birmingham, is looking for an experienced Senior Account Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on building strong client relationships, delivering strategic campaigns, and driving measurable results.
You'll act as the key link between clients and internal delivery teams - ensuring every project is aligned, on-brand, and delivering value. The ideal candidate will be both a strategic thinker and a hands-on project driver, comfortable managing multiple accounts and leading conversations with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, developing long-term, trusted partnerships
- Lead client meetings, reviews, and performance updates, presenting insights and recommendations
- Understand client goals, business models, and KPIs to shape strategic planning and delivery
Insight & Opportunity Development
- Monitor account performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for growth
- Translate market insights and client feedback into actionable strategies
- Proactively suggest new ideas, campaigns, and services to enhance client success
Campaign & Project Management
- Convert client objectives into detailed briefs, timelines, and deliverables
- Oversee internal teams - including creative, technical, and media - to ensure smooth delivery
- Maintain accountability for budgets, quality, and deadlines across multiple projects
Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Analyse marketing performance and campaign data to extract insights
- Prepare client reports and present strategic recommendations for improvement
- Continuously refine processes to maximise client satisfaction and return on investment
Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience in a marketing or digital agency, managing multiple accounts
- Strong knowledge of SEO, PPC, content marketing, social media, and web development
- Exceptional communication, organisation, and relationship management skills
- Commercially astute, with proven experience in growing account revenue
- Confident leading meetings, managing stakeholders, and ensuring accountability
- Proficient in project management tools such as ClickUp, Monday, Trello, or Asana
